RSS doesn’t update until I manually update page

    Hello! We are having some problems with the episode refresh on our player. We are using the divi theme and the wp-rocket plugin.

    We have lowered the update interval and tried the wp cron method, but it doesn’t add the new episode until I manually update the feed from the feed updation tool and then save the page from wordpress.

    Using the feed update tool without saving the page in divi builder doesn’t seem to add the newly added episode:/ Any idea on how to solve this? Thanks for a great plug-in!

    Hi there,

    Thanks for using podcast player on your website.

    I think the issue is not with the podcast player. Your caching plugin (wp rocket) create a static cached copy of the page to speed up your website. Static cached page increase the speed but at a cost that the page will not update to show any changes. It will only show the last static copy created by the caching plugin. This cached copy is only updated at certain events (like saving the page).

    To test the above, just try disabling the caching for this particular page OR check with the WP rocket team to periodically purge (delete) the cache automatically for this specific page. Once the cache is deleted, Podcast player’s cron method will update the player on the page.
