RSS CPT and query string

Thanks for reaching out regarding your feed URLs. WordPress outputs your content in different formats across different URLs (like RSS feeds of your posts and categories). It’s generally good practice to disable the formats you’re not actively using. So we have a feature in WordPress > Yoast SEO > Settings > Advanced > Crawl Optimization > Disable unwanted content formats. Since it’s useful in your case, ensure Remove global feed button is turned OFF.

Hi, I didn’t have any of those settings configured. But I did check and ran my tests again and once Yoast is disabled the rss feed works again. Very strange.

@dickina, Is it possible to activate Yoast SEO on the staging site so I can test the feed URL?

Sorry I’m busy on the staging site atm. Please try on the live environment. I have left Yoast active there as needed the functionality. So live doesn’t work as Yoast active and staging does yoast Not active.

Many thanks for your assistance. Much appreciated. With some help I’ve managed to add a custom filter to the RSS feed that facilitates the query when Yoast is enabled.
