• I recently updated to 2.0 and love the new features, but some of my plugins are not compatabile…in particular Feedbwordpress
    https://projects.radgeek.com/feedwordpress

Does anyone have a good recommendation for 2.0 to restore the Feed aggregation from other blogs? I liked FeedWordPress functions, but afraid it is still buggy with the new upgrade.

    Thanks!

  • Include me in this post. Feedwordpress failed in WP 2.0 for me too.

And I don′t know how to install planetplanet.

Yep. Feedwordpress was pretty cool, but this app doesn’t seem to be supported for 2.0 version yet and that’s a bummer. The import feature was way cool and we’re really in need of a fix or a replacement.

If anyone has any suggestions….we’re eager to know…

I’m using BDP RSS Aggregator with pretty good success:

    Example

I second BDP RSS Aggregator. Nice. Fully featured.

I have just upgraded to WordPress version 2.0; and my BDP-RSS Aggregator seems to be working perfectly.

The only glitch was the PHPExec plugin I was using. I have changed to exec-php , without any significant difficulty and all works fine.

I’ve tried this feed resource, but it seems to pale in comparison to the former tools I used. I find no easy way to funnel RSS feeds into specific categories like FeedWordPress used to.

Is anyone using a Feed mechanism that automagicaly imports RSS feeds into existing WordPress categories?

Hi – I am a complete novice at all this and I am having problems with my feed aggragator and don’t have a clue what to do – I would be very grateful for any help.

Working on a Feedwordpress that is wp 2.0 compatible.

This post should resolve the Feedwordpress issues at least until Radgeek releases a new version.

    Thanks Beer,

I tried your patch. There was some confusion as to whether I should just update the function or the first post, but I still get wonky errors in the PlugIn display in the dashboard. Any suggestions?

    THanks.

Assuming you’re using WP 2.0, what are the errors you see ? I’m not seeing any on mine.

    Hi Beer,

When I make modifications to the feedwordpress.php script with your revisions, my Dashboard under Manage Plugins is showing all kinds of PHP that is distorting the page display so bad that I have to delete the plug in altogether.

I’ve tried editing the file with your first 1637 lines of code (which by the way has a break) – noted and then I tried to edit just the function author_to_id, but no dice.

    Any suggestions?

I would just edit the function author_to_id, and it sounds like you might be creating an error during the edit process.

    Beer,

You’re right. I backed up, reinstralled a fresh feedwordpress and made your function edit as described. So far…so good.

Cheers. I’ll drink one on ‘Beer’ next time…

    Hi!

Take a look at my tool – Build-in RSS Client https://www.dat-it.com/

Its an MS Internet Explorer for handling with RSS feeds
