RSS Aggregator feeds not updating for captivate.fm

    Captivate.fm RSS feeds don’t seem to update.

    Example https://feeds.captivate.fm/for-fintechs-sake/

    None of the capitvate.fm URLs validate on w3c.org, however, the Feed Preview within wordpress is perfect (shows recent posts). Unfortunately the display on the landing page latest post is a year old.

    We have also tested this on a widely supported theme (Hello) with all other plugins disabled in order to eliminate any potential conflict.

  • @jonzanoff Looking at the screenshot shared, I’m afraid the display of the entries on the frontend does not seem related to the free version of the plugin. Is it possible that you are using the premium ?Feed to Post add-on to import the feed posts? If that’s the case, ?please use our contact form, as this forum is only for questions related to the free version.

    Just the free WP RSS Aggregator plugin actually.

    The RSS feed is configured in plugin settings here https://www.screencast.com/t/3cQUzWKF

    and we’re using the shortcode generated ([wp-rss-aggregator feeds=”ffs”]) to display recent posts on a page. https://www.screencast.com/t/IV3lbkqQyWxv

    When configuring the feed using the plugin, the preview does properly show recent feed items, but the those same latest posts aren’t appearing properly on the front end.

    @jonzanoff thanks for the follow-up. Looking at the screenshot, with the free version, we do not have an option to implement such a layout, is it possible that you have some custom access to the display option? Would you please confirm if the newly imported item appears under WP RSS Aggregator> Feed items?

    We’re simply using the shortcodes and that works to display 9 out of 10 podcasts just fine using the free plugin ???♂?

    The new items do not appear in the feed items. They do appear in the feed preview which may or may not be relevant.

    @jonzanoff thanks for the follow-up. This suggests that the newly added items are not getting imported probably due to an issue with the corn jobs on your end, would you mind checking if the crons are working as outlined here? https://kb.wprssaggregator.com/article/120-issues-with-cron-jobs
