Error message on woocommerce checkout page, but order is added

  • On my checkout page I get this error message:
    “Payment error: Invalid merchant account ID”.
    Despite the error the order is set as new order.
    This should not happen. When there is an error like above no order may accepted till the error is solved.

    How can I prevent adding a new order when there is an error?

    Mostly dependent on the payment gateway.
