based on https://developer.linkedin.com/documents/authentication if you extend the scope to include r_emailaddress and fetch it from the endpoint GET /people/~/email-address you should receive the primary email address from linkedin

but that’s not the case with the janrain engage plugin it seems, as any linkedin users get a popup to enter their email address. ( latest janrain rpx version )
