    I think I solved

    It is sufficient to edit the plugin and replace the line

    inlineMath: [ [‘$’,’$’] , [“\\(“,”\\)”] ],

    with the line

    inlineMath: [ [‘$’,’$’] ],

    in the file wp-math-2.php
