Rogue pages lurking

How did you find out the pages were appearing at random?

As an example the page I have linked with thinks I live in New York another page knows where I live but repeats the blog.

I’m sorry I don’t know what you mean, can you reword that? Can you also provide a list of steps I can take to replicate the problem on your website?

This URL displays my location as New York https://www.excellentramps.com.au/blogs/

BUT

if I goto https://www.excellentramps.com.au and then scroll down I see a different version of the same the page.

I can only add the first four pages to the Theme Options, Andrew. This seems to be where the problem is, but I am unable to find a solution.

My pages are now in a terrible tangle. I start off with TWO Home pages and some others have vanished.

Basically scrolling down from the Home Page is a mess, sorry. If I use the menu I can access all pages.

No same issue, Andrew. I have a good set of pages when accessed from the menu but they are junk when scrolling down from the Home page.

How did you set up your home page? The 2017 theme lets you select individual pages to use as sections on the home page. It looks like you’ve picked the same one several times. Just as an example, here’s how I set mine using THEMES -> THEME DETAILS (on the current theme) then CUSTOMIZE from the bottom, then THEME OPTIONS:
