• I apologize ahead of time if this is in the wrong category.

I Run wordpress on a remote server (serversfree.com).
I am getting 3 problems when i try to manage wordpress
    1) Database error: Error establishing a database connection
    2)

    Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at mysql.main-hosting.com. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?
If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

    and 3)

    Service Temporarily Unavailable

The server closed the connection without sending any data.

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems.

Due to heavy load on the server, connections may be temporarily blocked from locations that fetch an unusually high number of pages.

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

These are very annoying and making it impossible to update the site

I have another website that works fine so I don’t think it is the server hosters side.

    Thanks ??

  • You need to contact your hosts about this. There is very little we can do to help you here.

    Hey esmi,
I would I really would. But I don’t believe the manage it actively. The copyright is still only up to 2012. I have posted support tickets and they don’t respond.. Soo…
Anyway.. I have another website running on their service and it has no problem. I didn’t know if it was a plugin or something I added

I am sorry but there is nothing we can suggest if you have a database connection problem other than contacting your hosts. This is not a WordPress issue but a hosting one.

Yea.. I think I messed up the database trying to fix the server closed connection issue… I’ll try resetting the database..
