• Greetings, and apologies if this is not the right place to post–please redirect me.

My site has been functioning just fine until i was notified that the latest WP updated (6.6, i believe). That same day a user informed me that my “normal page” loaded for less than a second, then all images switched to very enlarged images.

I’ve tried to go in and edit, but am not even seeing the typical interface for editing, only a very abbreviated paragraph of html.

And this issue is only occurring on my home page, not on any others.

Clearly, I am not well-versed, but perhaps someone else has experienced something similar and can point me in the right direction for help.

    Thanks in advance, Eddie

what happens if you (temporarily) disable your caching plugin, wp-optimize?

Thank you Steven Stern–i went to WP Optimize, Cache, de-selected Enable Page Caching, refreshed. Have opened on phone, computer, Chrome, Firefox…problem persists.

The script that is responsible for the gallery seems to come from your theme. According to its own date, this in turn is from 2020, so it is already relatively old. I see that there seems to be no update for the theme, so you actually only have the following options to solve this:

    a) Find someone to help you customize the theme so that it outputs the slider properly again. You can find someone like this here, for example: https://jobs.wordpress.net/
    b) Change the theme to a more up-to-date theme, e.g. the current standard theme TwentyTwentyFour.

A change of theme would be advisable anyway as it is questionable how long your current theme will continue to support the PHP version used and WordPress.

Thank you @threadi Much appreciated. I’ve posted the project to change the theme, and am grateful for your leading me to the jobs page!
