Rotating in Media Library problem

My client is having an issue I’ve never seen before.
She’s uploading photos to the Media Library and rotating the images and saving. Everything looks fine in the Library and in the post but on the site the images are still upside down.
I saw something about an issue with pics on iphones but I’m pretty sure these were not taking on an iphone.

And when looking in firebug the image is upside down.

If I take the image and rotate in Photoshop and reupload all is well.

Any ideas on how to get the rotation to work in the Media Libabry?
