Roles allowing image upload

    I have a member who had the role “contributor”. Just the level I need for the project we’ll role out. This writer could present articles for publication meaning they had to be cleared by an admin. However he could not upload images (presumably on another site I’m setting up others will not be able to upload audio for podcasts) To allow image upload he had to be upgraded to “author” but this meant he could now publish without reference to an admin i.e. no moderation.

    The above is a test scenario but it will soon become a real situation. How can I set up so contributors can present articles for publication but be able to upload images or multi media to be included in the articles they are prsenting for publication.

  • I have the same problem. I have a contributor who has the full kitchen sink tool bar, but not the icons just above it for uploading an image, etc. She can embed a video with the tool bar, but not an image? I am checking some other contributors, because I believe that others in our group ARE able to see the image upload icon.

    Did you get any error message while uploading the images? Make sure you have assigned required permissions to wp-contents/uploads folder in your blog….
