• Hi WP Tech

I am customizing my buddyboss platform, where I want to create a user (a team lead from my client), who can access the front end, such as “view as” other member, but this role cannot be access to the backend to see my plugins and setting..etc.

What is the best way for me to achieve this? Thanks in advanced!

Any role that lacks the various plugin and theme capabilities, nor manage_options, will be able to see the related back end screens. For example, the default Editor role. You can create custom roles that have or do not have which ever capabilities you need. There are plugins that will help with this, or it can be accomplished with some custom code.

As far as what capabilities are needed in the front end to see what you want (or not), I suggest asking in BuddyBoss’ dedicated support forum.

Any that’s well rated and well used should do the job. I’ve used “Members” off and on. It’s quite capable, as I’m sure many others are.

Created roles and capabilities should be persistent; so once you have what you need, if that is the plugin’s only purpose it could be deactivated until you need it again.
