• Hi,
Role scoper breaks register plus. When role scoper is enabled and I log out I get this error message:

Warning: getimagesize() [function.getimagesize]: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known in /home/user/public_html/test2/wp-content/plugins/register-plus/register-plus.php on line 1531

Warning: getimagesize(https://site.com/wp-content/uploads/img.jpg) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known in /home/user/public_html/test2/wp-content/plugins/register-plus/register-plus.php on line 1531

    Any solution to this?

  • First off, I’ve actually used Register Plus in conjunction with Role Scoper for a few different clients so there is no fundamental conflict. (Yes, captcha and a few other RegPlus features are cranky on current WP versions but overall it still works at as of 2.9.2)

What I’m seeing in my trials is that when you specify (upload) a logo image, RegPlus wants it in the wp-content/uploads folder, but fails to put it there. This upload failure occurs with or without Role Scoper activated. The logo setting is stored though, and I was able to make it work by manually copying the file into wp-content/uploads.

Were you also seeing some problem with NGG, or is that just a typo in the topic title?

Hi, Thanks a lot for your reply!
I actually meant to say that I used both Role Scoper and the extension plugin targeted to NGG in a more condensed way in the title.

What happened to me is that the entire settings for Register Plus got misconfigured, all CSS lost, the link to the image also lost, and I had to reset everything from start after uninstalling role scoper.
    Never tried back though.

The funny thing is that it did not produce this errors from the word go as soon as I installed role scoper, and it only printed out the errors in Opera. But the CSS and image was still visible (possible caching though…). Then the error message disappeared but also the css and image did. Reg Plus was still active though.
