• Hi, WCFM Marketplace plugin created a Shop manager, Store Vendor and Customer roles – which is great.

When editing “Users” the Store manager can see the drop down for “Roles” but the only option is “Customer” how can I give the store manager the option to select either Customer OR to be able to promote the customer to a Store Vendor?

    Thanks in advance…

    – NO, WCFM creates only “Store Vendor” role. Other two are from WooCommerce.

    – It’s not very clear to me. Kindly show me screenshots please.

to be able to promote the customer to a Store Vendor

    – Customers are allowed to apply as “vendor”

    Thanks for your response…

Here is the option that are available when you edit a customer logged in as a Store Manager: https://snipboard.io/ZSRwTE.jpg

How do I allow the store manager to promote customers to be store managers?

    Thanks

How do I allow the store manager to promote customers to be store managers?

    – What do you mean by “promote”?

A customer user may apply as “vendor” from WooCommerce My Account page. There they have “Become a Vendor” option.

Do I have to enable that somewhere as my account page does not show that?

I just want a Shop manger to be able to change a Customer to a Store Vendor – how can I allow this via the Dashboard?

    Thanks

First tell me one thing, does your My Account page has “Registration” section and there has “Become a Vendor” link for non-logged in users like this – https://ibb.co/Lrdjv9n

No, I have a heavily customised site which is not using the standard pages…

I have used ninja forms to create two sign up pages.

One form/page for “Contributor” which when submitted creates the user as a Store Vendor the other form/page creates the user as a customer.

Customers are allowed to see the site content, Store Vendor’s are able to access a certain page where they can submit a product for approval.

Trouble is the Customers, after looking at the other products decide they want to add a product so need changing to a Store Vendor.

I can do this as Admin, but I want to allow the Store Manager to change the user role from Customer to Store Vendor so they can access the page and add a product.

    Does that make sense?

    Thanks

    OK, understand.

Vendor registration page is a normal WP page. You may add this page url anywhere in your site.

What is the URL – do I have to create a “Vendor Registration” page with a shortcode?

I would really rather allow the shop manager to be able to change the role of the user from customer to Store Vendor – what permissions does the store manager need to be able to change this?

Nothing I have tried works – other than Admin, but then that gives them ALL options which is leaving the site open to mistakes and people being given the wrong role and too much control!

    Thanks

    – NO, this page automatically created during WCFM plugin installation.

Check at WCFM Admin Setting – Dashboard Pages – is “Registration” page set over there or not? https://ibb.co/XpXxPdh
