Role issue during staging deployment

I had created two additional wholesale roles in my production environment. I copied this environment to staging to make changes to my site. However, since deploying this new version in my production environment, the two roles are no longer visible, as if they had been erased. When I try to (re)create them, I receive an error message stating that these roles already exist.
