Role field not showing up on Register form

    I am using the Profile Builder plugin, and the Role field is not showing up on my register form. And if I go to Manage Form Fields, Role is not one of the Default Fields that is available to add to the form. Is there another setting I need in order to get this as an available field?

    Hi @frontporchweb,

    The Select (User Role) Field is available in the free version of Profile Builder.

    First, please check to have the latest version of Profile Builder (V 3.7.6). Then go to PB-> Form Fields-> click on the edit on the Select (User Role) Field and check if you have added an option to the “User Roles” setting.

    Hello-

    I do have version 3.7.6 installed. When I go into Profile Builder => Form Fields, there is no Select (User Role) Field in the list. I only see Name, Username, First Name, Last Name, Nickname, Display name publicly as, Contact Info, Email, Password, Repeat Password.

    And if I drop down the Field element on the top of that page, it doesn’t show there either.

    Does anyone know why this might be happening? I’m ready to go live, but I need to have this role field on my register form before I can do so.

    Hi @frontporchweb,

    Please go to PB-> Form Fields-> click on the “Select an option” dropdown and send a screenshot with the fields you see.

    When you click on the Select (User Role) field and try to add it in the form, what exactly happens? I tested it on my site and it works to add the Select (User Role) field on register form.

    Are you getting an error message? If so, can you please send me a screenshot with it.

    OK, so this is painful how long it’s taking to get this resolved. As you can see from the screenshot that I posted above, the Select (User Role) field does not show up as an available field in the Select an Option dropdown. That was my original question – why does it not show up as an available field?

    All the fields that can be seen in the screenshot you have attached are available in the free version and can be used.
