Role based edit permissions?

This is marked as resolved , perhaps you could enlighten us?

I installed a capabilities plugin – user-role-editor – and then went through each and every setting until I found the right ones – turning one off, logging out, logging in as the editor role, checking, logging out again, logging back in and amending the capabilities until I had the right combination.

Not a straightforward solution, I’m afraid – I’m surprised that there wasn’t an easier method – it’s taken me over an hour to try and sort!

As it was, the setting in needed to keep checked was ‘edit theme options’.

yea that works for me too, I downloaded a plugin called members and then it opens up roles like role manager.

I made all editors have edit_theme_options and then The editor accounts all started to have thethe Slideshow options.
