Rogue URL in the comments template
-
I am faced with a rather strange issue that I am having trouble tracking down. I am trying to find out why I have a plain text URL of our site showing up in the single.php template after we made CSS changes to one of our themes.
To elaborate, we recently changed margins in our custom theme in order to be able to implement ads. No actual changes were implemented in the template files outside of the footer.php, as the site footer saw more changes. Now everytime you open the detail page of an article and scroll down to the comment-area, there will be plain text of the base URL. I applied the theme on our test server as well, and there it calls the base URL of that server. If I change to any other theme, the URL disappears.
I have done just about every possible full text search I could think of, regarding the base URL or home or even bloginfo, and came up with nothing. comments.php has not been touched and there’s also no call for the base URL in it, I double-checked.
Here’s the blog, the URL shows up at the bottom, just above ‘Hinterlasse eine Antwort’ (it’s a German blog).
It’s not a huge deal, but it’s irritating. Any help would be appreciated, though I am not sure that it can be solved from afar. I’d be happy about pointers.
