robots.txt not detected using redirects

  • Hi,
    So I have my blog, using my own domain and paid hosting. The blog is sitting on a folder under the root domain (www.emaple.com/blog). A permanent redirect is created from cPannel and is working, but if I’m using an online tool to check my robots.txt and sitemap.xml the check fails. Files are not found.
    I put the files directly on the root on the web server (www.examlple.com/robots.txt) and is working.
    The question is, how can I create the redirect so that online tools sites can find these files.
    I don’t know if I explained this right, but let me know if you need more details.
