Robots txt – unable to download – lighthouse – SLIMSEO

    When i run a lighthouse report – it says “lighthouse was unable to download a robots.txt file.
    This is also happening on a second website but not a third website(using yoast). (the 2 errors have SLIMSEO installed)
    has anyone come across this error?

    It’s quite difficult to find out why this is happening and fix the potential problem.

    Does anyone have a solution?

    We don’t create robots.txt for the website. WordPress, by default, automatically generates a virtual robots.txt file for you. Slim SEO only hooks into that process and add a URL for the sitemap.

    You can always see the generated robots.txt by visiting yourdomain.com/robots.txt.

    Regarding the download of the file with LightHouse, it’s probably out of the plugin scope.
