    Hi again,

I am having a bit of a problem with understanding the GDPR and Google Fonts. I am changing all my websites to Local Google Fonts. It’s going great, but when i check the Contact page console – Roboto is still visible in the Google Maps iframe. I thought that, if i host my google fonts locally. i won’t have any fonts showing in the console.

Is there any way to go around this issue? or how to setup the Complianz plugin to prevent in future GDPR Compliance issues?

    Kind Regards
    Tomek

    Hi @tomsons86,

The font that is still being loaded looks to have been manually added to the page, it isn’t loaded as a result of the Google Maps iFrame (as it is blocked prior to consent, so it would not be able to load Google Fonts without consent).

It might’ve been added by some plugin or your theme, but it almost appears as if it has been manually included somewhere.

Could you check if that might be the case here, or whether it disappears as soon as you disable a certain plugin on the site? That would tell you exactly what initiates this call to the Google Fonts API, so you can then remove it and use your local implementation.

    Kind regards,
    Jarno

    Hi @tomsons86,

Side note: It might be more suitable to ask your questions regarding the Complianz plugin on the Complianz Support Forums.

That will make sure that we don’t miss your question!

    Kind regards,

    Hi @jarnovos,

    Thanks for quick response.

You might be right and i am already browsing through files. I will ask follow up questions regarding Google Font API and Google Map iframe on the Complianz forum.

    Thanks
    Tomek
