When my website sends a password reset email (sent by wp-includes/pluggable.php), the \r\n\r\n at the ends of lines get converted into <p></p> tags. I guess this is WP HTML Email plugin doing this? And it’s great.

But I have another email, the new user email, sent by wp-includes/user.php. It has the same \r\n\r\n, but the html email does not have the html tags, so there are no line breaks.

Do you have any idea what could account for this? I’ve worked on it for a full day and can’t figure it out.

So you confirmed it’s happening not just for me?

Sorry, I can’t say what update might have triggered it; I don’t see those emails often.
