Rize Image Plugin

  • I’ve used Smush Pro to resize the image but it seems Google wants a smaller image size.
    Is there a plugin that can resize images inside a wordpress dashboard media page without the hassle of resizing with tools outside of wordpress…

    I doubt any would work significantly better than Smush. Saving 20k out of 700k isn’t exactly a major savings ?? That page speed tool will almost always find some image size to complain about, even when very minor. Unless it’s going to result in meaningful speed increase, it might not be something worth worrying about.

    Only you can decide if it’s worth the effort of chasing after minimal gains or not. If you enabled webp conversion it could diminish image size quite a bit over png, but the format isn’t compatible with older browsers.
