Right Way of Uploading Pics

  • Hi,

    I have search and i have gone through all the post regarding uploading pics but i could not find any solution to my problem. it seems that uploadin pics is a major issue ( seems like ??

    Any kind hearted person that can walk me through the process. I am getting errors when i try to upload it.

  • Major issue? Hardly. FTP to a folder of your choice, link image in post. Real hard.

    1) what errors are you getting?
    usually the error message contains hidden hints as to what the problem might be ??

    2) is your wp-content/uploads folder writable (chmod 777)

    2) are you uploading images that come straight from your 85Gigapixel camera? maybe scale down first.

    @saurus: using FTP to upload images, then manually link to them in posts is cumbersome. with the right plugins you can even do all the cropping/scaling/resizing from within wordpress and do not need to leave the WP editor ever.
