Right Sidebar is Hovering over Main Text in IE

  • My webpage is going crazy!!! I made some changes on my sidebar yesterday and now in IE, the sidebar is crouching in on my post text. It is working fine in Mozilla.

    What is wrong? I cannot figure out what needs to be fixed.

    you will see the problem.

    Look at line 516 — you have incorrectly nested list tags. That may or may not be responsible for problems below. Start with that.
    You’ve also got <div> issues further down.

    Dont most of the themes come with the validator link??? Why isnt that the FIRST place ppl check? This forum realllly needs a signature option so folks that browse this forum are constantly reminded. I know what my siggy would be.

    be advised laura, even when validation is perfect, IE doesn’t always match FF, but they are trying harder and harder with every release lol

    yes, however that doesnt take anything away from the fact that validation ought to be the very first thing ppl look at when troubshooting issues such as hers.

    Thank you! I am still new to this WordPress stuff and the learning curve is HUGE.

    I will have to read up some more. I have been trusting that code I find to perform tasks is not going to break my page.

    Actually, someone pointed out to me that IE was not working. I use Mozilla, so I was not aware.

    yeah, you gotta keep both open and check after each code edit or post (especially for post pics, etc.) G/L

    and yes, the validator knows all lol
