  • Q2W3 Fixed Widget (Sticky Widget) seems to work. Not sure how well it gets on with responsive screens / mobiles etc. You’ll need to test it.

It gets messy in the footer if the sidebar is longer than the browser height, because the sidebar crashes into the footer as you scroll down, so you’ll need to keep it short.

Go to plugin options page (Appearance -> Fixed Widget Options).
Set Margin Bottom value = your footer height (in pixels).
That will prevent overlaping with the footer!

    Clever. Thanks Max!

Thanks so much for your help.
I cannot make it work unfortunately. I have activated the plug in and checked the fixed widget box for the widgets I need; I even played with different options on the Fixed Widgets options menu and no change.

    Thanks again for your support.
