    Hi, wonder if someone can help me.

    I have installed the lightword theme – everything is great apart from the text in my posts being “cut off” over on the right hand side near the sidebar. It doesn’t seem to be much, but maybe half the final word on the line? I tried various settings with margins and padding but can’t find a solution.

    Also tried reinstating the default stylesheet to see if that helped but the problem persisted – I can’t seem to pull the text area back so that the end of the lines is not hidden.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hi esmi,

    Site url is https://www.wearerangers.com

    Thanks for any help you can provide.

    I cannot detect any text being cut off. What browser are you using?

    I am using Mozilla Firefox 3.5.2

    Just checked in IE and that shows the sidebar’s text overlapping into the main content area. Maybe that is causing the problem.

    I see this, is that what you see as well?

    pboosten, this is what I see in Firefox.

    And this is what I see in IE, where you see the sidebar links moving back into the main content area.

    The link requires some kind of authentication, so I cannot see.

    Sorry, I will use imageshack for speed!

    Firefox

    Internet Explorer

    I see it now, tried with IE8. The funniest thing however is that if you switch to compatibility mode, the site displays correct.

    Try giving the content-body id (which really should be a class) an explicit width as well.

    The sidebar is pushed to the left, probably because it hasn’t enough room to the right.

    edit: I missed the width tag… sorry. I’ll start all over again.

    Hi Peter,

    I seem to have found the correct setting for the main content body width, you should see it as okay now.

    I just have to resolve the IE sidebar issue now. Trial and error I guess. ??

    Thanks for your help.

    ps, the setting I changed for anyone in future searches was

    /* CONTENT */

    .hentry{min-height:150px;height:auto!important;width:545px;margin-bottom:1em;}

    ie, the width:545px part.

    weareran,

    I have the same problem on the left hand side but only on the two posts at the very bottom of my site. Do you think this is the same thing? Do you mind taking a look? https://www.mawdizzle.com I’m using WordPress 2.8.4 and Internet Explorer 6.0.

    Thank you,
    Maw
