Riddle said they just rebuilt their backend system and they broke the WordPress plugin. If you’re having issues, you’re not alone.

The issue is that the Riddle URLs that the WordPress plugin is trying to access no longer exist on Riddle’s website so they error out.

Since the plugin basically iFrames in Riddle pages, we’re out of luck until an update comes out. Until then, go to Riddle’s website and manage your quizzes there.

    Hi Thomas,
Thanks so much for catching this bug – we’re truly embarrassed to admit that we really, really messed up with our plug-in.

We redesigned our entire creation tool suite to make it easier to use (hurrah!) – but it turns out it broke our WordPress Plugin in ways that we would have never imagined. (Drat!)

We are going to get onto this immediately and roll out a fix very soon.

Meanwhile, as you pointed out, Riddle.com has all the features of the plug-in. You can use Riddle.com to build your Riddles and then paste our standard embed code in WordPress. Just make sure to switch to the text editor before pasting code instead of pasting it in the visual editor.

And please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions…

We’re customer service geeks and love to help – we generally race each other to respond first.

    Thomas,
we just released version 3.1 of our plugin, which now works with the updated Riddle.com site.

Sorry for causing so much trouble.

    Cheers
    Boris
