Rich text in description

Unfortunately, there’s no way to enable rich text or HTML tags in the descriptions sent to Facebook. All HTML is stripped from the description.

But what about this so called rich_text_description field option. It said that “If you use a data feed to manage your items, add the optional rich_text_description field to your feed to use rich text and HTML formatting in your description.”

Hmm, it looks like the Facebook documentation you shared also states that HTML cannot be used:

Thank you for clarifying that, @zorenleolumosbog! The Catalog Fields page you linked to is a developer-level documentation. By default, our extension, however, does not currently have the option for using rich text as my colleague Mike previously mentioned. It could be possible by customizing the extension’s code though.

I would also encourage you to look at submitting this feature as an enhancement request here under “Feedback or idea”: https://github.com/woocommerce/facebook-for-woocommerce/issues/new/choose
