rich text editor vs default – content vanishes

  • Hello all,
    My issue is (wp 2.02):
    Using the default editor I can manualy add tables, enbed flash files via a plug-in etc.
    If I edit these pages with the rich text editor my content vanishes. Is there any way around this?
    Also, is there a way to install a more extensive version of TinyMCE?

  • Generally, the rich text editor is buggy like that. It’s for people who don’t know about HTML, really.

    The best thing to do would be to disable it and just enter all the HTML you want yourself, that way you have much more control, and things don’t get stripped out.
