    It seems that when you install Yoast SEO a few lines are added to the source of the website/webshop.

    and this on its hand seem to tell Google when the page was last updates. But for the homepage this is less relevant than for a blog. But now Google display’s the last updated for the frontpage and other informational pages.

    I tested this with a shop with Yoast and a shop without Yoast but am not 100% sure that your plugin is adding this code to pages (it seems fair that this code is added to blogs/posts).
