Rich snippets for recipe
-
Hi!
I’m using this on my site, but it looks as if I get some problems with the mark up because there is both mark up from my theme and from this plugin.This plugin seems to generate rich snippets regarding a article, but my theme is having rich snippets for a recipe.
Is it possible to change so I can have the ratings to show the rating for a recipe instead?
Got this answer on Google forums:
Good Evening,
You’re marking up the content of the page using Recipe and Article types and in addition, aggregateRating is marked up in Article type, Google doesn’t support marking up review content for articles.
The page is about a recipe therefore I recommend removing the Article markup.
After updating markup, I recommend submitting an up-to-date sitemap and then, allow Google time to recrawl the recipe pages. Perform a site:operator query to ensure Google is displaying recipe rich snippets in these results. If Google is displaying recipe rich snippets in these results it’s a good indication that they’re understanding the content of the page and extracting the data successfully. (Currently recipe rich snippets are not being displayed – no image, no totalTime displayed.)

And then this:
Good Afternoon,
I don’t believe so, I believe that markup triggers the following.
<article id=”recipe-1108″ class=”recipe”>
See the Article markup below.
<div id=”post-ratings-1108″ class=”post-ratings” itemscope itemtype=”https://schema.org/Article” data-nonce=”79a52f5317″>
