Rich Media not loading on posts

    Hi,

    I have been using Ad Inserter for quite a long time and I am very satisfied with it. However, recently, my Rich Media has stopped working/loading on posts even though I have them checked. I can’t see them in the source code on my posts either. They work, however, on the homepage & pages.

    What could be possibly causing this?

    I can see the code inserted as configured:

    This means the plugin works fine.
    It seems you have the issue elsewhere.
    Maybe some (header) script is missing.

    Hi @spacetime ,

    I tried troubleshooting, and when I checked for ‘above header’ and ‘output buffering’ on the posts pages, it shows like this. There is none of them even though I inserted the Rich Media into ‘posts’ too.

    This is the homepage, which works and shows both ‘above header’ and ‘output buffering’.

    It seems the issue is caused by the HTML body tag in the ad code comments.

    Replace
    Place in <BODY> of page

    with

    Place in BODY of page

    in all ad codes.

    @spacetime I changed it but nothing has happened yet (I also purged cache).

    Interestingly enough, I am using this code for both pages and the homepage of the same site and they load properly. It suddenly stopped working yesterday, before it has been the same code for over a year.

    @spacetime You were right! Thank you a lot.

    Now it does load… can I ask why did this change suddenly help it? The tech team from my ad network had problems figuring out what was wrong.

    This body tag in the HTML comments was causing wrong deetction of the page body start used for Above header insertion position.
