    Hi,

Can you confirm you are using the latest version of Yoast Duplicate Post v4.1.1?

When you set the rewritten post to a later scheduled date, do you mean that your Jetpack email subscribers are getting this link (https://www.kitchenflavours.net/?p=18117) once the post has been republished? Or do you mean the existing email that they received previously with the correct link (https://www.kitchenflavours.net/chicken-mutkule/) redirects to the incorrect link?

Could you provide us with a bit more information on how you’ve configured the Jetpack email subscriber settings so we can try and replicate this on our end?

    Hello,

Thank you for replying. Yes, I am using the latest version of Yoast Duplicate Post v4.1.1

When I set the rewritten post to a later scheduled date, my Jetpack email subscribers are getting this link (https://www.kitchenflavours.net/?p=18117) once the post has been republished instead of (https://www.kitchenflavours.net/chicken-mutkule/). Even in facebook and twitter which I have set for auto-publish the same link (https://www.kitchenflavours.net/?p=18117) is getting displayed. Please help!

    Regards,
    Lubna.

    Hi @lubnakarim06

I tried subscribing one of my email addresses for new posts on one of my test sites under the WP admin dashboard > Jetpack (sidebar) > Settings > Discussion tab > Subscriptions section.

I then disabled all plugins except for Jetpack (I disabled Yoast Duplicate Post as well) and reverted to the default Twenty Twenty One WordPress theme. I then created a new post and published it immediately. I checked on the email that I received and it looks like the URL is also showing the same format of https://website.com /?p=208 (see this screenshot https://snipboard.io/LV3cKM.jpg) but when I clicked on it, it was able to load the page as expected.

Can you confirm that when you initially publish a post normally that it also shows that kind of URL via Jetpack but just loads as expected?

I then activated the Yoast Duplicate Post plugin v4.1.1 and scheduled a rewrite and republish for that same post and scheduled it for a few minutes later (see this screenshot https://snipboard.io/LV3cKM.jpg).

Then when it republished, it was showing the same format URL in the email, but it indeed does load as a 404 (see this screenshot https://snipboard.io/AUkb9u.jpg)

Could you confirm that the issue is not with how the URL is displaying (/?p=208) as it might be something with Jetpack but rather, that it’s showing as a 404 when clicked on?

    Hi Micheal,

    Thank you for replying back.

Sending you some of the screenshots for better understanding of my query,

This is the original URL of the post.

Here is the screenshot of mail that an e-mail subscriber who registered through jetpack will receive after I schedule the post with Yoast Duplicate Plugin.

But when clicked on the post name or Trouble clicking? Copy and paste this URL into your browser: they are getting this link

    Hi,

For the original URL of the post (kitchenflavours.net/welcome/), when you published it normally, we are also assuming that Jetpack also sent an email linking to the post, correct?

And to clarify, the URL under Trouble clicking? Copy and paste this URL into your browser:, is working just fine when initially published, the issue is that same URL in the Jetpack email loads as a 404 when you schedule using the rewrite & republish function?

We’ve reported this to our internal team, but we recommend you also contact Jetpack support, as having both teams working on your issue would be beneficial.

Mine is doing the same thing! It gives /?p=76628 as the post, not the permalinks. The work around I am doing is redirecting the /?p=76628 to the /this-is-the-post. It is not giving a 404, but I have to do that to each one before they republish. Plus it seems to make a /this-is-the-post-2/ but that doesn’t seem to redirect after published either. When it goes to JetPack email or even Publicize on Facebook, Twitter, etc. it gives the 404 error page instead. Please fix this! (This also includes when you use the !–MORE— feature in posts too.
