• Has anyone been able to get WordPress to work on an SME Server (www.contribs.org)? It uses a strange template engine to generate system files (httpd.conf, php.ini, etc.) by modifying chunks of each of these files stored in a master directory. A shell script is then executed to “merge” the changes to the chunks back into the config file.

My PHP installation compiles with mod_rewrite installed, but it would appear that my problem resides in the httpd.conf file. Has anyone managed to hack through this?

Vitals: PHP 4.12 running WordPress 1.5.1.1. on top of Linux SME 6, build 2.4.20-18.7.
