    Hey guys,

I like the demo of Gamipress. I would like to know if my use-case is possible. We have 2 separate websites – one blog website and a community website that we’d like to gamify using this plugin. Is there a way to reward users that reads a post on our blog website? These are separate websites. Is this possible with this plugin? Thank you.

    Hi @designteammate .

I would be more than happy to assist you today.

First of all I am going to explain the main function of GamiPress which is to reward your users for interacting with your website, previously you define a series of events (requirements that they have to meet) once they meet them they are rewarded with points ranks or achievements, for example:
    – The user comments on a post, then receives 100 points.
    – The user visits a post, then earns Achievement A.
    – The user logs into your site, then earns Rank 1.
I can give you some of our highlights pages:

    What is GamiPress: https://gamipress.com/docs/getting-started/what-is-gamipress/

    How to set points: https://gamipress.com/docs/tutorials/creating-a-points-type/
    How to set achievements: https://gamipress.com/docs/tutorials/creating-an-achievement-type/
    How to set ranks: https://gamipress.com/docs/tutorials/creating-a-rank-type/

So in this case you have 2 options:
1- Use the multisite option for GamiPress.
Multisite is an option to add multiple sites to 1 WordPress installation, this allows GamiPress to work on multisite installations.
In this link you will find the documentation on how it works and how to activate multisite in GamiPress https://gamipress.com/docs/advanced/multisite/
    WordPress with multisite
2- In case your two sites are two different WordPress sites then I recommend you to use our other plugin, AutomatorWP + Webhook add-on so that when a user sees a post on Site B it notifies Site A.
Since the main purpose of AutomatorWP is to create automations, you previously define a series of triggers and actions, once they are fulfilled then they are executed, for example:
    Trigger
    – The user visits a specific post.
    Action
    – The user earns X points.
In this link you will find more information and a video about AutomatorWP. https://automatorwp.com/docs/getting-started/what-is-automatorwp/
Referring to Webhook add-on, one of the main functionalities is to send data from a Site A to a Site B, for example:

    Blog site
User views a post -> Send data to community site

    Community site
On receive data -> Award points to user

In this link you can find a video and documentation on Webhooks. https://automatorwp.com/docs/webhooks/

    Hope it helps!
