• I tried the latest version (1.0 (20080101)) and it removes all posts from my site. The posts are still in the database, but when the plugin is activated,

    1. no posts appear on the home page
    2. no post appears if I type in the post’s url
    3. no posts appear in the Archives
    4. no posts appear in Recent Posts sidebar
    5. no posts appear in WP admin’s Manage section.
    6. no error messages appear
    7. all comments disappear, although they are still in the database
    8. if I add a post, it doesn’t appear anywhere except the database

Also tried it with a few different themes, just in case.

When I deactivate the plugin, everything reappears.

  • gestroud,

Can you provide a little more information? Were you able to enter your revver username and password on the configuration page successfully? We’ve got a few sites up and running with 2.3.2 and the plugin and haven’t experienced anything like this.

Feel free to drop me a line directly at asi a revver.com.

    gestroud,

Try renaming the plugin folder to “revver” instead of “revver-wordpress-video-plugin.” www.remarpro.com’s SVN seems intent on changing the name of that folder, and we’ve hardcoded that folder name in to deal with some hosting situations where relative paths don’t work properly.

Alternatively, you can just download the plugin from https://revver.com/go/wp/

Of course, let me know if you continue to experience any issues and we’ll take a look at it right away.

    gestroud,

I’ve looked into this some more and can’t duplicate the problem. But based on the description, this is likely another plugin overwriting or changing the SQL statement and not returning the join correctly.

Some plugins will overwrite the join for posts or comments and not return the full SQL, overwriting it instead, but the problem is definitely related to the SQL being returned.

Could you list the other plugins you have activated on the blog, you may have plugins modifying the SQL posts join and comments join incorrectly.

Sorry, I removed the plugin and haven’t been following the topic as diligently as I should have.

I’m working on a new site right now. The revver plugin would be a good addition.

The new site will essentially have the same plugins as the one I removed revver from.

I’ll let you know what happens.

Oh, thank you very much for responding to my initial post and the suggestions you offered. Much appreciated.

Okey dokey, here are the results.

I am testing this with the default theme.

    1. The site’s title disappears in the Admin header.
    2. The site’s title and description disappeared on the front end’s header.
    3. The background color changed from white to gray. Looks as if it’s possibly affecting the styling, but I don’t see how that’s possible.

On the postive side, I can post videos and my former posts still appear, but the title’s font color doesn’t match the title color on the rest of my posts.

Found the conflict. It’s the Author Adsense plugin – which is one of my favorites. Oh well. With that deactivated, your plugin works great! Thank you.

    gestround,

Whoa.. that is one serious, serious list of plugins! I’m actually wiping a bit of sweat from my brow knowing that you’ve isolated the plugin, glad to see you found the culprit.

Let me know if I can help in any other way – either here or via email at asi a revver.com

Is there any way to add a video to a specific location in the post?
When I’m trying to add video from the Revver Video Options it adds the video to the top of the post and I cant control its place.

    I have WordPress2.3.2 with the /revver-wp-plugin.

    Thank you
