RevSlider, is upload possible without FTP client?

Dear WP support community, I’ve installed the a theme included with the Revolution Slider plugin. However I’m having trouble installing the required RevSlider plugin. I do not have a FTP client. Things I’ve tried:

1.Input my ftp credentials. Error: “There was an error connecting to the server, please verify the settings are correct” I do not have an FTP client readily accessible (doesn’t connect to my host server) so I’ve been inputting my MySQL database. Is there a way to approach this method without an FTP client?

2. Upload/add new plugin. Error1: “Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads/2014/06. Is its parent directory writable by the server?” I zip the Revslider folder provided in the theme download and try to upload it from the root folder. Error2: “The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini” this Error occurs when I try the revslider.zip from my desktop. However, I’ve already manipulated and increased the upload max filesize and post max size to 20M (to upload the theme itself). So this error puzzles me.

Please help!
