Revolution Free Theme alert

  • Hi, All. This is a “heads up” for any of you that are considering the Free Brian Gardner Revolution Theme.
    According to the forum moderator, Revolution does not offer forum support for the free theme.
    I can understand that … paid people should receive more support than the freebees. But, a guy should be warned about that in advance. I wasn’t. There were no disclaimers that I was aware of.

  • Gene you have had every question you aaked answered there. Any other free theme would also be “supported” here in the support forums.

    I’m just reporting what the Chief Moderator of Revolution told me.

    We don’t really provide support for the free themes here Gene, but it’s this you’re looking for….

    You’ll probably need to remove it from home.php, archive.php and maybe search.php and then you can slot it in down beside the tags or wherever else you fancy.

    The opening sentence was very clear about Revolution policy.
    I don’t intend to contact Revolution forum again.
    So, if you intend to continue scolding me, carry on. I’m a 76 year old man who needs more than a forum post to shut him up.

    Those forums were set up to support the paid themes. These forums have been around for ages and plenty of people here more than know their stuff.

    It is unlikely there is anything you could ask that someone here wouldn’t know.

    I’m not trying to “shut you up” at all. I am trying to reassure you that you are in good hands here, so there is no need to slag a forum which was not designed for your needs.

    Topic Closed, I can see this might get personal.
