Revoke panel not visible
-
Hi – I’m having trouble – the revoke panel is permanently set to display:none as an inline style. I’m not seeing it at all when on desktop and it displays very briefly after opting in on mobile but then disappears also. I see that someone else had the same issue and it was marked ‘resolved’, when it doesn’t seem to actually be resolved. The Insites demos don’t have the display:none applied.
I’m using Chrome on Windows 7 (desktop) and Firefox/Android (mobile), all plugins/themes/WP fully up to date.
The linked site below is brand new and may still be in ‘coming soon’ mode if you look at it but the cookie banner still appears. I’ve set it to display: block !important for now but if you uncheck that in dev tools you’ll see what I mean.
Would it be possible to have settings for it, or at least a few changes to it’s default behaviour? Ideally it should display it’s text without needing to mouse over it, otherwise how is a visitor to know what it is? Also the text is a little misleading, labelling it ‘cookie policy’ makes it look like a link to a cookie policy page, which it isn’t. Perhaps ‘Change cookie consent’ or similar, or allow the user to specify the text they require?
Aside from these issues this is the best GDPR solution for Google Analytics that I’ve found. Good work.
