Revoke after accepted – when are cookies deleted?

    Thank you very much for this plug-in, first of all.

    I have my site set up to present the banner then reload with my Google analytics code upon acceptance. Works fine.

    On my privacy page, I manually give users the choice to revoke cookies, even if they’ve already accepted them.

    In my console when testing, the GA cookies do not disappear when revoked but the cookie_notice_accepted does get set to false immediately. I am watching my GA data in real-time and all tracking ceases once cookies are revoked but the visitor is still being treated as active for about 5 minutes.

    Is there something I can or should do to make the cookie delete sooner after user “changes their mind?” or is this normal?

    we also try to use this plugin for Google Analytics consent and are struggling with the revoke function.

    This plugin is not capable of removing the Google Analytics cookies. It just stops or starts outputting the JavaScript tracking code. Removing the JavaScript code and reloading the page is enough to stop tracking. The cookies don’t have to be deleted. Perhaps you could check the box “Enable to reload the page after the notice is accepted.” to stop tracking instantly after page reload.

    But another thing: Have you noticed that it isn’t enough just to click the revoke button? Then the cookie bar re-appears. But if you just reload the page or load another page then nothing has changed and the consent is still active.
    You have to click twice: One time on the revoke button and then again in the re-appearing cookie bar the accept or decline function.
    We don’t understand why it isn’t enough to click revoke and all is as if one would have never clicked on accept or decline beforehand.
