The option to select a publication date for a revision is not visible to users unless they also have the ‘publish_pages’ capability enabled.

I’d rather avoid granting users any ‘publish’ capabilities just to have this ability, is there another more granular capability available that I could add to a user to let them schedule a revision, but not publish anything?

I am using PublishPress Capabilities in addition to Revisions.

@kcorrea I’ve confirmed that non-Editors are not able to set a publish date when editing a revision using the Gutenberg editor. Note that having that date selection available would not mean they can schedule a revision, only that they can request a publication date. In that case, the revision is not actually scheduled until approved by an Editor or Administrator. The next Revisions release will include a fix that brings this functionality.

Wonderful! Thank you Kevin. “Requesting a publication date” is perfect and what I was looking to enable for non-editors.
