    Very nice clean look.

    The validation is off, but it looks like a good many of the errors are because of the table in your post. Plus, you have the doctype set to XHTML 1.0 Strict. That’s a heck of a challenge.

    Other than that though, I dig it. ??

    Nice site, with interesting content.
    What kind of redirect are you using? I found it awkward to escape using the back button.

    Closing the link before the table might stop some of the odd behaviour.

    That fish is a bit scary, cant you put a cute kitten there?

    redirect:

    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01
    Transitional//EN">
    <HTML>

    <head>
    <TITLE></TITLE>
    <META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="1; URL=wordpress/index.php"></head><body>

    </body></html>

    Thanks
    I’ll loosen the doctype redirect. Hadn’t thought about it. If I stick raw html in again I’ll be more careful.

    splosh: the fish ate the kitten! actually kittens hadn’t evolved when that fish swam. ;>)

    It’s a bit hard with all the black and white. *If* you would like to soften it up you could try changing the text color to some very drak grey color. You’ll be suprised what that does. Great use of all the space and usable for all browser sizes. Is the search box supposed to hit the top of the page? It does with me in Safari.

    Thanks mstegink

    I don’t favor grey type because even though I use very hi-res monitors, my 50+ yr old eyes find it tiring to read. As I get older I am more sympathetic to the needs of people with weaker faculties.

    That darn search box was a problem before, I’ll have to ask my Mac buddy about it. Konquerer *should* render it the same as Safari but maybe not.

    I believe we can thank Wired for a variety of unreadable type&color combinations, but that’s just my 2 cents. :>)
