Reviews meta box not loading reviews since 6.6.1

    Versions of WooCommerce after 6.6 are failing to load reviews into the “Reviews” meta box on product edit pages. From 6.6 down I can scroll to the bottom of my product edit screen and see all reviews associated with that product load asynchronously in the “Reviews” meta box.

    I’ve manually tested both 6.7.x and 6.8.x and the “Reviews” meta box ALWAYS returns “No more comments found.” on the edit screen, however, viewing that same product will show the reviews correctly on the frontend (on any theme that supports reviews).

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Fresh install of WordPress.
    2. Fresh install of Woocommerce.
    3. Fresh install of Storefront OR TwentyTwentyTwo
    4. Create a test product and publish it.
    5. Edit the product – scroll down to the “Reviews” meta box.
    6. Click “Add Comment”.
    7. Type some text in the textarea and click “Add Comment”
    8. Notice the comment appears asynchronously in the “Reviews” meta box.
    9. Refresh the edit product page and the review fails to load.

    Alternate steps from the frontend:
    1. Repeat steps 1-4 above
    2. Click “View Product” or navigate to the product on the frontend.
    3. Navigate to the reviews tab and create a new review.
    4. After saving the review edit the product.
    5. Scroll down to the “Reviews” meta box.
    6. Notice the comment does not appear (whether an approved comment or not).

    Thank you for the report! I’ve verified the issue on my test site and have adapted your thorough post into a bug report on the official WooComemrce GitHub repository:

    Reviews meta box in Edit Product screen not loading reviews since 6.6.1

    Until that bug is addressed you can still manage reviews for your products in the WP Admin → Products → Reviews area of the WordPress dashboard.

    Please note that if you want to edit a review reply, there is currently another issue affecting editing review replies, but the ‘Quick Edit’ editing mode is an effective workaround to edit review replies in the meantime.
