    Hi there,

I followed a recommendation from your plugin on my admin area about woocommerce not having it’s own comment structure or something like that and now all my reviews were converted to regular comments… this is bad because now all links pointing to reviews and woocommerce review widgets now show comments instead of the reviews (stars and all). is there a way to revert or fix this?

Let me try to be clearer to see if you can help me. comments posted through woodiscuz appear on my dashboard as:

Woodiscuz on Off-Road Truck Safari #
    Teresa

Is this trip ok for a 4 1/2 yr and 6 yr old children? My 6 yr old was excited …

ALL the product reviews were converted and now appear like this:

    Woodiscuz_review on Catamaran Sailing #
    Judith Erazo

The catamaran crew’s attention was really impressive!

And are under the comments section instead of the woocommerce Reviews section which now says “There are no product reviews yet.”

if you go to https://www.iheartdr.com/attraction/marinarium-snorkeling-cruise-punta-cana/ you can still see the reviews under the reviews tab and the woodiscuz under the questions & answers tab as two separate things but the recent reviews shortcode (the one that comes with woocommerce) is showing woodiscuz comments instead of reviews with star ratings and author and the permalink is no longer working…

I installed woodiscuz after woocommerce was installed and this problem began after this plugin converted something into something (I can’t remember exactly what the dialog box said)

Where can I send you admin login info?

    Hi aguerram,
Thank you for the access data.
We just checked all and didn’t find any problem. All reviews are under “Reviews” tab and all WooDiscuz comments are under the “Q&A” tab. What’s wrong? What shordcode your are talking about? Could you please explain it again, we don’t see any wrong things.

Yes, on the front end all reviews are under the reviews tab and all woodiscuz comments are under the Q&A tab BUT on the admin panel (dashboard) ALL woocomerce reviews are now Woodiscuz_review

I realized that once comments were converted and didn’t really mind but when I realized that the “recent reviews” shortcode from woocommerce was no longer displaying the reviews with star rating but instead was showing comments from woodiscuz. (you can see this on the bottom right corner (1st footer, 4th column) of any page of my site…. it’s showing questions and answers instead of reviews.

Please let me know if you understand.

Thank you for helping me out

New reviews are also being saved as Woodiscuz_review and permalink is comment-page-3/#comment-35557 … the thing is new comments are on page 1 and there is no page 3 so visitor sees a blank tab.

If I disable the plugin new reviews are saved as woocommerce reviews but all woodiscuz comments now appear on the reviews tabs (and are counted as reviews)

    Ok, I see that.
    Let me explain this situation.
There is not any problem with WooDiscuz. Problem comes from WooCommerce.
WooCommerce doesn’t have an exact defined comment type in WordPress comment system, so all comments which are related to certain product are being tracked as Woo Review. We can say this is a WooCommerce <<bug>>.
WooDiscuz adds comment type for WooCommerce on installing process. We add Woodiscuz_review (for WooCommerce reviews) type to be able separate Woo reviews from WooDiscuz comments and show those correctly. All works fine. And all are separated on product tabs.

There is only one problem, it’s the WooCommerce shordecode which shows latest reviews. This shows all comments related to current product, not only WooDiscuz comments it also shows Woo reviews. So you can use it together.

If you don’t want use WooDiscuz you can filter all WooDiscuz comments on Dashboard > Comments admin page and delete those. Then deactivate WooDiscuz.

We’ll check this shordcode function and if there is a hook to filter those as well, we’ll add this feature on next version.

Thank you, I appreciate you taking the time to explain everything to me. I’ll work around it in the meantime… I really like this plugin, very well made.
