• Everyone giving 5 stars on here is reviewing the premium version, not the version that you get when you click download.

If you pay for the premium software then sure, it may be great, but this repository doesn’t offer that so all of these reviews are not even for the same product.

The free version doesn’t do the most basic of functions – Emailing notifications. The most expected and logical function of any software in this class is to send notifications yet, they have purposefully left that out to force people onto the premium platform.

be aware – these reviews are from premium users, which do not give a true indication of the capability of the software available for download form here

be aware – these reviews are fake – they are either paid for or premium users, neither of which give a true indication of the capability of the software on offer

As someone who is aware of such things, why do you believe the other reviews are fake?

The “benefits” they speak of are not available in the version that is downloaded from here. They are only available in the premium version – they are reviewing the wrong software.

That’s actually allowed. This free plugin upsells the premium one. That’s part of the user experience and while you may not like that those other reviews are legitimate and are not fake.

They are reviewing a different product. While it may be “allowed” it is not accurate – the product that is available here fore download does not contain the “features” that they think makes the product great.

At least be honest to users before they are tricked into downloading a product that doesn’t do what everyone is preaching about.

If you read info in the description tab, you will find that we clearly note what features are included in the free version and what in the premium ones. We don’t think we are misleading users.

Our customers give us good reviews because they are happy with our product and service. They also want to help others to choose best plugin providers. We think our WordPress community will benefit from it too.

Regarding emails, we have planned to add admin notification in our next major release for free version. As we are busy rewriting the plugin, you have to wait for a while.

“read info in the description tab, you will find that we clearly note what features are included in the free version”

I agree with Shannon. You might ‘clearly note’ but it is not clear to me. If these are included in the free version,it is not entitled ‘Free Version’ so as to be implicit.

    You have headings

    Features
    Desired Businesses
There are more features supported in premium editions link
and Extra Features in Premium Editions with the word ‘Extra’ being the operative.

It is easy to see why it can be seen as misleading. Perhaps vocab?

List of Features: Free Version as a title would be specific and no room for mis-interpretation.

Really? How is this verbiage unclear?

    Extra Features in Premium Editions

The features after that line are obviously part of the premium edition.

Take on board what people are saying instead of trying to justify this stupid decision.
it is not clear – and I’ll explain AGAIN why it is not clear.
Every piece of software ever written has included email – there is an expectation by every software user in the free world that any piece of software will come with email.
by not specifically stating “Free version does not include email” That’s how “verbiage (sic) is unclear”
It’s called interpretation. Normal people have expectations and these expectations were not met and not clearly documented

I have to agree with Shannon. I had this big rant describing why, but ended up erasing it because why. Just agree with Shannon is enough.

Jan, One Heading entitled ‘free version’ with its list of features below.

Another Heading entitled ‘Premium version’ with its list of features below. Maybe, just maybe, the user may workout, that there are some features that are extraaaaaR!!.. under the premium heading.

.. I still agree with Shannon

    OK.

Another Heading entitled ‘Premium version’ with its list of features below.

    And…?

Maybe, just maybe, the user may workout, that there are some features that are extraaaaaR!!.. under the premium heading.

    But your comment was…

List of Features: Free Version as a title would be specific and no room for mis-interpretation.

Which as you see it clearly does.

    *Drinks coffee*

This review is perfectly valid but I’m closing it from more replies because it’s become commentary about… features that are clearly demarcated?

If someone is using this plugin and wants to leave there own review please do. Just please do not leave a review about the reviews. That’s not really helpful. ??
