Review snippets  Invalid object type for field “itemReviewed”

Same problem here

Same issue here. I use the scheme “book” for all my book reviews and some days ago Google shows an error in all my reviews.

How can we avoid that error?

I just found my website showing the error like as you guys discussing here. Is that because of any plugin issue.

i got the solution

try to use string locator plugin or just open plugin editor
edit this file wp-content/plugins/wp-postratings/wp-postratings.php

let say you have a movies site

change this
<div style="display: none;" itemprop="aggregateRating" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/AggregateRating">

become this
<div style="display: none;" itemprop="movie" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/movie">

Also have the same issue as the others in this thread with this website https://lebenslanges-wohnrecht.de. Console is displaying the error “itemReviewed” is missing.

I will try out what @viojav recommended but this is a vital feature of this plugin to display the rich snippets correctly in search engines.

If you site has nothing to do with movie ratings and you use movie just to show the ratings, Google will also penalize you.

You are right @gamerz so everyone needs to use the fitting scope for their site. I have a “how to” site so I took that one of course instead of movie. 4 ratings are not showing anymore as errors, 1 is still showing as error. I guess that’s because of Google didn’t update all the pages yet.

Used the following code:

Just clearing once and for all, I will NOT be fixing it because I CAN’T.

Google Rich Text Snippet will not be solved because it is Google not supporting it anymore for “Post” type of ratings. There is nothing I can do. I can only advise you to disable it.
