the page took a while to load. then there was empty whitebox upon load.

the theme is too white. can you set a nice background color? or extend the gray?

it hangs on themesnest quite often.

Yes. I hate to say it does take a long time for me to load too. This can affect your rankings in search engines. I will have to look into why it is like that since your site doesn’t look like it has any more than my pages.

To really increase traffic, I suggest installing an SEO plugin like this:

Thanks for the feedback! I’ve removed the Facebook Lightbox plugin. Any idea how to reduce the loading time for my site? I mean, do I have to change the theme?

Also that’s an old version of that theme, you really do want to reach out to the vendor and update to a current version.

Thanks Jan…I’m currently using Godaddy’s hosting. Could that be a reason for my website’s long loading time? Should I switch to some other web hosting service?

Godaddy does kind of have slow hosting. I’m assuming you are apart of a shared server plan. Godaddy has a LOT of websites and often has thousands of sites per server. I can’t be certain that is the problem though. Do you have a friend with a different host that you can test out your site at? You could also get a dedicated server at godaddy, although I personally think godaddy is a bit overpriced.

Hey geekly, I checked out the loading time on this site! It showed 2.43 sec, and a performance grade of 74! Is this bad? How much does it show for your site?

I would say your site speed is not that great since you don’t seem to have many images or posts. I have a site now that has a lot of images and has a better performance score.

The logo and the header is very good, looks clean and very brandable.

The loading time is good. You have some very good content on your blog. Keep adding more content and you will get more traffic.

Would suggest you to add some social voting buttons on your blog posts.

Don’t worry about traffic, just keep adding content and traffic will increase,
