    Hi,

is it possible to leave reviews in their original language? The company is proud of their international customers so they want the reviews to reflect this – so that there are reviews in all kinds of languages on their homepage.

I’m not sure I understand the question. The plugin doesn’t allow you to “leave reviews”. It only downloads reviews left on Google.

I have the same problem: my customers wrote down reviews in Dutch but WP Google Review Slider imports or chooses the English translations of these reviews. This is an automated translation by Google.
Of course you can imagine that most of the time this ‘Google Translate’ version of the review is far from covering the same meaning ??

Is there no way to make WP Google Review Slider pick out the original entries?

    Found it!
In the WP Google Review Slider settings, go to the ‘Get Google Reviews’ tab and enter the Language code of your country/language.

Your language code can be found here: https://developers.google.com/maps/faq#languagesupport

I guess for Italy/Italian you’ll just have to enter: it

Hope this helps you as much as it did me ??

The customers are from different countries, and as @jgwhite33 noticed, this plugin copies the google translated review and not the original language. With ‘leave languages in their original language’ I meant leave the original (google) review and not pick the translated version.

So it wouldn’t help me to put in the language code because I actually want different languages to be shown.

True, with different languages this is no solution.
I fear WP Google Review Slider will be of little help in this case.

Only solution I see is to obtain the Pro version and manually add the versions in one and the same language to the database. Repeating this in the different languages.
Feasable if the amount of reviews isn’t too big.
With the filters you could obtain the top reviews and keep the work manageable perhaps?
